𝗕𝗢𝗖 𝗡𝗔𝗜𝗔 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝟲𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆

In celebration of 62 years of quality public service, the Bureau of Customs - Port of NAIA celebrated its 62nd Founding Anniversary on Sept. 16.

With the theme “Soaring Towards A Digitized, Transparent and Excellent Public Service”, the Port commemorated its milestones and achievements under the leadership of BOC-NAIA District Collector Carmelita Talusan. 

BOC Commissioner Yogi Filemon L. Ruiz, PDEA Deputy Director General Diosdado Carreon, Manila International Airport Authority (MIIA) General Manager Cesar Chiong, Pasay Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano represented by Chief of Staff Atty. Peter Pardo, Philippine Airlines President Stanley Ng, MacroAsia President Eduardo Luy, Paircargo President Joseph Madrigal, PAGGS Chairman Jefferson Cheng, DHL Country Manager Nigel Lockett, Lufthansa Technik PH Vice President Jennifer Lim Gan, Former BOC Deputy Commissioner Julie Manahan, and other distinguished guests graced the event.

The celebration highlighted the achievements of the Port, including their biggest drug bust amounting to Php1.6 billion and the commendation of the National Task Force Against Covid-19 for the facilitation of more than 240.9 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines and PPEs. 

Commissioner Ruiz also expressed his gratitude to Port of NAIA for the facilitation of vaccines, "At this point, I would like to convey my thanks to you, Collector “Mimel” Talusan for your aggressive initiatives and relentless efforts which made it possible for us, BOC employees and our families to receive the Covid-19 vaccines and boosters in the comfort of our premises. For the record, NAIA Customs is the first and only non-LGU, non-health facility Covid-19 vaccination center.  For that, we are very proud and thankful to BOC NAIA.”

The Port also showcased its 19 Information and Communications Technology (ICT) projects implemented to facilitate trade throughout the Port. 

For its 62nd anniversary, BOC-NAIA presented its newest ICT project, known as the Cargo Track and Trace System, in partnership with PAIRCARGO. The project aims to provide an online platform where stakeholders can track their shipments in real time. 

Port of NAIA also bolstered its customer service by establishing the Customer Care Centers in DHL and Paircargo warehouses.
